Whether utilizing our pool services for enrichment, exercise, or recovery, we customize each session to best fit the dog's needs. Our training programs provide science-proven techniques that create quality experiences for dogs and their owners.
MEET THE TEAM
JENN CLUCKEY, KPA CTP
Approved AKC CGC & Trick Dog Evaluator
Jenn Cluckey wears many hats at Animal Matters. She instructs private training clients, teaches group classes, and brings dogs in the pool. In 2021, Jenn graduated from Northern Michigan University with a double major in Biology and Psychology. After completing her college education, she began the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Professional Program where she took multiple trips to Chicago with a client's black lab, Addy. She graduated the program and became a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) in September of 2022. In addition to her formal education, Jenn has volunteered with dogs through various shelters and rescues since 2011 which has given her valuable hands-on experience with a variety of dogs. Prior to joining the Animal Matters staff, she worked for the attached TailWaggers as a group leader and receptionist from 2019 to 2021. She currently spends her days with Tony, a Brittany, who she trains agility, nosework, and rally/obedience with.

TIARA SODERSTROM
Approved AKC CGC & Trick Dog Evaluator
Tiara Soderstrom can be found participating in all of the services offered whether in the training room, the pool, or on the patio. Her start in the dog world occurred in 2010 when she began working for TailWaggers. Her passion for dog training career was ignited by acceptance and attendance through the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional Program in 2012. Shortly after the program concluded, she relocated to the Madison area where she taught a variety of group classes and assisted with the Dane County 4H Dog Program. She's actively persuing further certification through the Pet Professional Guild as a Professional Canine Trainer Accredited. Dog training brought her back to the Fox Valley to further her service offerings with Animal Matters! While she has a few different dogs, Gunther (a French Bulldog), Floyd (a Cattle Dog mix), and Dewey (a Pomeranian mix; pictured) are most likely to assist during client training sessions.

OUR STORY
Animal Matters opened in April of 2021 when the owner of the TailWaggers in De Pere built a new facility with the needed space for a training room & indoor pool. The addition of Animal Matters opens the options to not only serve the TailWaggers' clients more completely but also gives force-free training and year-round swim opportunities for the De Pere and Green Bay communities.
